@QasimRashid Do you think that if the journalists were white they would get praised inatead ?

i think mainstream media & social media would have (likely) discredited the hypothetical white journalists in a different way (mostly by widely ignoring the story)

@ojonnysilva @QasimRashid First ask yourself why you have to pose the hypothetical.

@QasimRashid I don't think, in this instance, it has as much to do with racism as it does with the current administration choosing to promote whoever will support their narrative and punish anyone who counters their narrative.

@DrSaucy I did because I believe its about the thing being reported on rather than the skin color of the reporters. I wouldn't be surprised if they got different treatment otherwise, i.e. not being arrested, but making this comparison as proof of "systemic white supremacy" is just wrong. I might be splitting hairs here, but I think its important being precise about these things, report what is for what it is.

@QasimRashid
This is admittedly splitting hairs but I'm pretty sure that's just regular-type white supremacy though.
Systemic white supremacy is more like--just as a hypothetical example--if the nation were shocked and outraged that a white person got shot by cops. -

@QasimRashid literal white supremacists in the replies. Holy fuck.

@ojonnysilva They arrested four Black journalists. Either there were no white journalists arrested because they chose not to arrest the white journalists or there were no white journalists there. Both point to systemic racial problems & the last thing anyone should do is split hairs over that fact.

@QasimRashid it's why they hate DEI: without white supremacy and racist hiring practices, most of them would never qualify for anything, ever

#PostOfTheWeek (season 3):
The video, posted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley (American YouTuber and content creator), alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. As of Monday, the video had been viewed more than 1 million times, according to YouTube's metrics, and was seen by tens of millions more on X. -

As Homeland Security agents were in Minnesota conducting what DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called a "massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud" on Monday, many of their targets came not from tips from the FBI, but from a video posted on social media over the weekend. -

Well, Trump is a despicable racist that should never have been given the opportunity to be where he is. SCOTUS and the Republican Party made it possible despite the law and prosecution. He belongs in jail... and several members of his administration too for the damage they are doing.
