GenAI is inherently a fascist project, and I wish KDE wouldn't support it, following how KDE stopped posting on X (mail.kde.org/pipermail/kde-www/2025-October/009275.html), how KDE has a code of conduct promoting diversity (kde.org/code-of-conduct/), and how KDE strives to make world a better place (kde.org/for/activists/).

To explain, how exactly GenAI is fascist, it's worth looking at Wikipedia article about art in Nazi Germany. GenAI is trying to do very similar things to art as nazis did (and yes, programming is art). The article for instance says the following:
Hitler's rise to power on January 31, 1933, was quickly followed by actions intended to cleanse the culture of degeneracy: book burnings were organized, artists and musicians were dismissed from teaching positions, artists were forbidden to utilize any colors not apparent in nature, to the "normal eye", and curators who had shown a partiality to modern art were replaced by Nazi Party members.
The same thing is actually happening today. Books are physically destroyed to train LLMs using them (arstechnica.com/ai/2025/06/anthropic-destroyed-millions-of-print-books-to-build-its-ai-models/), websites are flooded with scraper bot traffic to effectively shut them down, schools are encouraged to use GenAI, GenAI generates soulless content that tries to replace already existing art, and software projects are flooded with slop which is exhausting for software maintainers.

Promoters of GenAI project want to replace art with what they want to be a propaganda for them, just like nazis did. It's no coincidence that LLM models specifically focus on art, whether it is writing, painting, composing, making videos, or, yes, writing code. Things that are actually fun, rather than, say, automating boring and repetitive tasks. It is explicitly trying to remove humanity from art.

Speaking of propaganda (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_in_Nazi_Germany), GenAI wants people to depend on GenAI for thinking, to quote Sam Altman:
We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter.
I don't want to live in a world that GenAI companies want people to live in.
