Ed Zitron's articles are getting a bit repetitive, but he's absolutely right that we should hold idiot CEOs in contempt because this is bullshit. And I understand why he feels the need to repeat the same things over and over again, because it's frustrating that seemingly nothing changes.

@volpeon I get Zirton's frustration. It's a lot like the frustration I get from an internet privacy perspective. And sometimes the same as he hits on that point now and again too. It's so hard when you see bad stuff happening and not only is it impossible to get companies to change their ways, but it also feels like a Sisyphean feat to get anyone to give even a tiny shred of a shit about anything, or to make any change at all that might come at even the tiniest cost of convenience. Anyone in this space is endlessly trying to roll that boulder up a mountain that seemingly has no peak.

@volpeon Though note that Teams also works in FireFox, and Firefox has the added bonus of having the Multi Containers extension, thus allowing you to have multiple Teams accounts logged in, each in its own container tab.
(in my case: one per academic institution I work with).

@dryak I tried using Teams in a browser for a while, and it was very unreliable. I ended up missing a lot of calls and notifications.

@volpeon in my experience, it has gotten much better. The only hinderance is that I need to shift-refresh my pinned Teams tab when I start the browser to be sure that it works, and I get to asked to re-sign-in a bit more frequently than the other (non-Linux, non-Firefox) users.
