She’s playing “no take, only throw” which isn’t exactly fun
@Thomas sometimes Kipper (Terra is only occasionally interested in fetch) but he believed in "give" no matter what you were doing. All my phone calls were on speakerphone (a habit I have yet to break) because he felt phone time was fetch time.
Playing piano? Sometimes you'll hear a discordant chord as he spits the ball onto the keyboard to make sure you know what he wants.
He also liked "gambling" by which I mean he'd try to "lose" and retrieve a ball under furniture. If the House "won" one of us would have to retrieve the ball for him usually with a broom handle

@whiskeysailor @lapis yeah, Maeby would play all day if I had the time. She’s got a pretty good routine these days though and leaves me alone when I’m at my desk mostly

@Thomas there is a 4000-year-old cuneiform list of popular sayings in Old Babylonian and one is “the dog knows “take it.” It does not know “drop it.”” It’s comforting to know that dogs have just been Like This for at least 4000 years
@checkervest @Thomas this is one reason I love @CatsOfYore because it shows not only that cats have historically been the same weird little guys but that we historically have been equally tickled by them being weird guys and felt the need to document
