@codinghorror I'm reminded of when the province of Ontario was planning on merging the General Sales Tax and Provincial Sales Tax into the Harmonized Sales Tax and all sorts of businesses were losing their minds. Everything was fine.

@codinghorror I am hugely confused by that page because if you keep scrolling down you get different news articles with completely opposite spins on the same story.

@codinghorror it's funny how economists say incentives are everything, but get all huffy when you suggest who funds their paycheck influences their opinions.

@codinghorror now now, some of those economists are actually ideologically opposed to poor people being paid a living wage
