Today I learned from @liaizon that the Parisian art space @palaisdetokyo is on the fediverse.
I was curious about the server it's hosted on, so I checked it out and more good news: there are several cultural institutions on it.
Turns out, it's an initiative by the French Ministry of Culture: a Mastodon server to share "cultural news in a way that is freer, open and independent" (their words)!

More good news about this initiative: the person in charge of it is @ChristineDebray (toots in French) - please give her a warm welcome.
There is a page on the website of the French Ministry of Culture that says: "Committed since 2021 to a more responsible, accessible and environmentally friendly cultural digital sector, the ministry established a 'Responsible Digital Strategy' in September 2025 to formalize its progress and objectives."

@cercle Puis-je faire une petite remarque ? J'ai parcouru vos comptes et j'ai remarqué que certains ne publient que très rarement, ce qui les rend assez invisibles. Il n'y a plus eu de publication sur @passculture depuis octobre 2025 ! Les gens ne suivent pas ce genre de comptes, ils semblent morts. Ce serait dommage que votre projet échoue à cause de cela ! Il y a tellement de choses à faire sur ce thème ! Cordialement depuis un musée provincial dans les Vosges.
