Is there any Opensource Video-Synchronisation Software out there?

I use Kodi on Linux a lot and want to mirror its output to other screens via wifi.

Any Ideas?

Wild Plan: Construct Kodi Plugins. One Master and a second acting as a Client. Master detects when media is played, and sends Medialink and position to the clients. Somehow synchs ​:dance:​

So any hints on any opensource software that does similar would be cool - so i can learn. Thanks.
