Unbelievable. They don't need a reason. Animals have always got on perfectly well without a reason. This is anthropomorphic justification for animals being held captive. And pathetic.

These animals are captive because they were rescued and are now habituated to people so that if they were released, they would cozy up to people, which is very dangerous for a wild animal and, often, for the unsuspecting people to whom they cozy up.
