BEING ABLE TO CHECK THE VALIDITY OF INFORMATION IS VITAL.

Seriously, even if it confirms our beliefs we are going to check it. Especially if it aligns with our beliefs, because that is where our weakness lies. and so probably does yours.

Sure a screenshot is engaging, we do it for that reason, it catches the eye and allows you to highlight something. But include a link to the source!

At best, you are wasting our time and energy as we look to verify it. But most often, we now move on past and disregard.

We are all fallible and rushed, so forget. But in the same way we nudge each other for alt text, we need to build a culture of references.
