When I ask to CW political doom posts, it's not because I am burying my head in the sand. I follow the news, I know what is happening.

But I prefer to choose my moments for that, rather than being suddenly confronted with it while I scroll the fediverse.

And I understand the sentiment when people say "People should know what is going on! We mustn't censor!" I really do. But with it, you are denying people ways to protect themselves on this platform.

@miona@toot.lgbt And a CW is never censorship - i can see the Contents if i want to. It empowers readers. No one has the right to force someone other to see something. Ask them nice, let them decide. Thanks.

It is important for my sanity to not be bombarded with bad news every 5 Minutes. That does something to you.
