I will say the inflatable costumes are clever optics for drawing attention to unprovoked violence from ICE vs nonviolent protestors, while honestly being very endearing & cute in appearance.

I will say the inflatable costumes are clever optics for drawing attention to unprovoked violence from ICE vs nonviolent protestors, while honestly being very endearing & cute in appearance.
Optics are certainly not the be-all end-all of protests, but they can make a big difference depending on your goals, & the harmless & cute vibe is very disarming to people, I think.
Obviously "disarming" isn't always the vibe you want; it depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
