Controversial Opinion: Not every post that has a Content Warning, needs a Content Warning.
What do I mean by this? You're allowed to discuss the things going on your life and even be a little upset about them. Discussion about "things" is normal. You can be happy about them, sad, angry, and even a little depressed or bummed out about it.
Where I think the line should be is at discussion of tangible mental health issues, drugs, alcohol, adult content, politics and other specific topics of serious nature.
If you're just discussing something casually, what are you actually doing other than censoring your own speech at this point? You hurt the ability for people to know and understand you if they are put off by a Content Warning that wasn't really needed. -

Imho. content warning has nothing to do with censorship, it's about getting the consent of the reader.
Sorry - had to respond. I do not like it when CW gets compared to censorship.

To add: Personally i think CW is most important with pictures, Videos and Link-Previews.
If your Post is only text - and you mention the topic early - me personally thinks a CW is mostly not needed. I can just stop reading.... -

Fedi Culture: Having all the Doom and Gloom behind CWs really makes a difference for me - Corporate social Media makes me angry and sad.
I really really like my Fedi Feed full of weird nerdy hobbies, catgirls and such
