          @kaia cant you just boot into the startup menu thing and just reinstall the native MacOS.

          I think my macbook air has a memory chip that contains the version of the OS it shipped with and it can format itself

              @kaia @Ergo Decades ago every mac had a "recovery" partition with the OS on it. Do not know if that is still the case.
