I regret to inform you:
1) Almost no married couples has the training nor the body shape to win a close combat fight with firearms. Why? Just try to join the swat, they will write down the reason in the reject letter.
2) You are always assuming a single criminal attacks you. But, we have gangs, we have cartels and we have mafia. They are a lot, more organized than a single family, they have more time, they have the choice of weapons, and they will kidnap your son and dilute in acid. What you do, then, with your 3D printed gun, when you are outmanned and outgunned?
This assumption, the attacker is always alone, is so stupid I should not even comment. -

The Circumstances they want to create will end in feudalism and slavery.
