I am so tired of people glazing Rockstar and GTA 6 with this whole “it’s gonna be the biggest and most impactful game ever, a whole generation has never experienced a GTA launch, it’s going to outsell every single game that’s ever existed because everyone wants it”
I’ve been alive long enough to see the rise of the 3D era. I have 0 interest in GTA 6. All this glazing that’s been going on for years is just getting annoying, its as if most people play nothing but GTA because I’ve literally seen people say “No games do narratives like Rockstar, especially not GTA” and I’m just like have you ever played a fucking Remedy game?
Those games have incredible stories and writing. Even when they play into the full camp (“you’re in a computer game, Max” “funny as hell it was the worst thing I could think of”) they manage to create moments that make me go “Oh fuck, what?!”
Idk maybe I’m just a grumpy old enby but I genuinely don’t think Rockstar has made a great game in over a decade. GTA 4 and its expansions were the last time I truly felt connected to and invested in a GTA title. GTA V was just inferior in every aspect to me, except the acting. While I dislike the protagonists it’s undeniable their performances are great, and the best in the series. But gameplay? World building? None of it felt right to me, as a long term GTA fan. And RDR2 was just… a mess. I have 0 interest in finishing that game or going back to it, despite it being supposedly “the best game ever made”
Anyway, I’m gonna shut up now and probably do some chores idk -
