It's really worrisome that people have normalized being bed bound levels of sick after catching "a cold"; no one was going through the mental gymnastics required to think "it's just a cold" prior to COVID if they weren't able to get out of bed for days on end. But now, it's no big thing, it's just that bad cold everyone gets a couple times per year which knocks you off your feet for several days.
I hate that's it's gone this far, and I don't want to think of how much farther it can get.
