People are told it's supposed to be faster, they take down the old support for 2/3/4g and they rename the remaining ones to 5Ge and you'll have like 2 bars of 5g and your internet will still be glacially slow, even worse than if they had left it alone.
To the average consumer there was negative benefit to 5g especially if you're not in the city.
